Boldwood are delighted to announce the acquisition of twelve more authors, bringing the total number of writers contracted to 179.
The breadth of Boldwood publishing is highlighted by this list of authors – from the bestselling historical fiction writers Kate Eastham and Jane Lark, through the cosy romances of Sharon Booth and Kiley Dunbar to the Roman action thriller titles from Adam Lofthouse and a contemporary international thriller series from Alex Shaw.
Emotional women’s fiction authors Emma Cooper and Lisa Timoney are bringing their heartbreaking new fiction to Boldwood, alongside bestselling author Lauren Westwood who is contributing her historical mystery novels.
To add further spice to its fast-growing romance list Boldwood is delighted to welcome US authors Nora Phoenix and Cissy Mecca and are excited to be publishing their first romantasy series with C L Mecca.
This new acquisition list is rounded off by the legendary Gervase Phinn who is writing a nostalgic, feel-good village school series, with his typical Yorkshire warmth and humour. All authors have been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English-language territories.

Sharon Booth writes feel-good stories set in quirky villages, including the ‘Tuppenny Bridge’ series. Previously published by Storm, she will write a series of cosy romances with a magical twist for Boldwood, the first of which will be released in February 2025.
Emma Cooper is the author of highly acclaimed book club fiction, including The Songs of Us. Previously published by Headline PG, Boldwood will publish her first emotional book club novel, a time-travelling love story, in January 2025.
Kiley Dunbar is the author of eleven books including her bestselling Borrow a Bookshop series. Previously published by Canelo, she will write a new romance series for Boldwood, set around a Repair Cafe in the Scottish Highlands. The first book will be published in July 2025.
Kate Eastham is the author of heartbreaking wartime historical fiction. Previously published by Penguin and Bookouture, she will start a new series for Boldwood set in the 1930s. The first instalment, Diary of a Country Nurse, will be published in March 2025.
Jane Lark is an internationally bestselling author of both historical fiction and psychological thrillers. She was previously published by One More Chapter and Bloodhound Books. The first in her new wartime saga series, The Great Western Railway Girls, will be published in February 2025.
Adam Lofthouse is the author of action-packed historical thrillers, previously published by Lume Books. His new series for Boldwood, Enemies of Rome, will focus on the battles and betrayals at the edge of the Roman Empire. The first book Raven, will be published in February 2025.
Cecelia Mecca is a bestselling US author, under several pseudonyms, of historical and paranormal romance including the Bloodwite series. She will write romantasy novels for Boldwood as C. L. Mecca, the first of which, Whisper of War and Storms, will be published in February 2025. She is also bringing a small town romance series The Bachelor Pact to Boldwood under the name Cissy Mecca, the first of which will be published in March 2025.
Gervase Phinn is the Sunday Times bestselling author of ‘The Little Village School’ and ‘The Dales’ series. Previously published by Hodder, he will write a new nostalgic, feel-good school series for Boldwood, with his typical Yorkshire warmth and humour, the first of which will be published in September 2025.
Nora Phoenix is the popular US author of spicy MM romance fiction. She joins Boldwood to write a brand new romantic comedy series ‘The Prince Pact’, that will delight fans of Red, White and Royal Blue. The first in the series will be published in March 2025.
Alex Shaw is the author of bestselling action thrillers and has been shortlisted for the Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize. Previously published by HarperCollins, he will start a brand new action-packed series for Boldwood, the first of which, Wolf Six, will be published in February 2025.
Lisa Timoney is the bestselling author of issues-based women’s fiction. Previously published by Avon, she will release her first gripping family drama with Boldwood, The Daughter She Gave Away, in June 2025.
Lauren Westwood is the US author of bestselling historical mystery novels. Previously published by Bookouture and Aria, Boldwood has acquired several of her backlist as well as frontlist titles. Her first new book with Boldwood, The House of Light and Shadows, will be published in February 2025.
