SweSwe Aye is an editor and reporter of Mandalay Gazette and Myanmar Gazette community newspaper published in Los Angeles since 2006. She is also a freelance writer and wrote hundreds of articles, interviews and poems in the journals and magazines published in Myanmar(Burma) since 1997. Most of her work during COVID-19 pandemic focused on the beginning of the outbreak. She graduated Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Medicine Yangon in 2004. When she was a 2nd year medical student in 1998, she worked an editor of University of Medicine Yangon magazine and covered the poems and articles for the magazine too. She speaks Burmese.
