Jacqueline Garcia is a Los Angeles-based journalist with over ten years of experience covering a myriad of issues ranging from immigration and politics, to health and education. A vast majority of her reporting has focused on issues that affect the Latino population.
Jacqueline is currently a reporter for La Opinion, one of the largest Spanish-language newspapers in the United States.
She has previously reported for Hispanic Link News Service in Washington D.C., Noticias 62 [KRCA Estrella TV] and Eastern Group Publications [EGP News] in Los Angeles.
Garcia is originally from Puebla, Mexico and up until 2017—when she gained her legal residency—she was one of the over 750,000 undocumented immigrants with Deferred Action (DACA).
She graduated from Cal State Northridge with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and a minor in Spanish language journalism.
