Boldwood announces further author acquisitions after successful first year of trading
Boldwood is delighted to announce its most recent author acquisitions – bringing the total number of writers on its list to 50. This comes after its first full year of trading – when the company achieved revenues of £1.6m and a net profit of over 20%.
The six new Boldwood authors are already successfully published writers from the UK, Ireland and Australia; have all been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English-language territories. From women’s fiction sensations Janet Hoggarth and Carmen Reid to bestselling saga writers AnneMarie Brear and Fenella J. Miller via the powerful storyteller Caroline Finnerty and thrilling suspense writer Lynda Stacey, these latest additions further strengthen the breadth of the Boldwood list – reflecting its commitment to showcasing the very best in international commercial fiction.
Amanda Ridout Founder and CEO comments: ‘After an extraordinary 2020 when Boldwood not only survived but thrived we are thrilled to be welcoming six more wonderful authors to our list. In our first full year of publishing we delivered healthy sales and profit; created over 35 Top 10 global bestsellers; and have now sold over 2.75 million books across all formats, in every part of the world. Most importantly with our authors, our readers and our industry partners we began building a company that is more than a business – Boldwood is a team, a family and an extraordinary support network. It is in good shape to flourish in 2021 and beyond.’
