Boldwood is delighted to announce the arrival of Claire Fenby as its Digital Marketing Manager, and its most recent author acquisitions, as it reaches the milestone of three million books sold.
Claire joins from One More Chapter and will be managing all Boldwood’s social media activity and turbo-charging our newsletter campaigns and global marketing presence. She brings with her a wealth of experience and is an award-winning specialist in online community management and digital content creation.
The three new Boldwood authors are all brilliant exponents of the gangland thriller genre and hail from Worcestershire, Hull and Essex. Already popular self-published authors with passionate
fans, they are bringing both new series and backlist titles to Boldwood where we will establish their brands and bring them to a global audience across all formats. Together they will help to build Boldwood’s dominance in this fast-growing and exciting genre.

Claire Fenby joined Boldwood on 6th April as Digital Marketing Manager. She comes with a wealth of experience from her last three years at One More Chapter – the digital imprint of HarperCollins, which she helped to found. She was previouslya Waterstones bookseller and is an award-winning specialist in online community management and digital content creation, with a passion for social media and serial killer thrillers.
The Latest Boldwood Authors
Edie Baylis is a successful self-published author of dark gritty thrillers with violent background settings. She lives in Worcestershire, has a history of owning daft cars and several motorbikes and is licensed to run a pub. She has signed a five-book deal with Boldwood and the first book in her new ganglit series, set in Birmingham, will be published in December 2021.
Gillian Godden is a brilliantly reviewed writer of gangland fiction as well as a full- tieime NHS Key Worker in Hull. She lived in London for over thirty years, where she sets her thrillers, and during this time worked in various stripper pubs and venues which have inspired her stories. She has signed a six-book contract with Boldwood for a new series – the first title of which Gold Digger will be published in July 2021. In addition Boldwood will be reissuing her five backlist titles over the next few months.
Kerry Kaya is the hugely popular author of Essex-based gritty gangland thrillers with strong family dynamics. She grew up on one of the largest council estates in the UK, where she sets her novels. She also works full-time in a busy maternity department for the NHS. She has signed a nine-book deal with Boldwood for both new and backlist titles. Her first book The Price will be published in July 2021.
