Boldwood is delighted to announce the acquisition of seven more authors – bringing the total number of writers on its list to 122. They range from the internationally bestselling author of historical timeslip fiction Nicola Cornick, through the historical romance writers Jenni Keer and Patricia McBride, to the rom-com sensations Laura Carter and Jo Lovett. They are joined by the women’s fiction authors Laura Pearson and Katie Marsh – the latter of whom has turned to cosy crime for Boldwood. These latest additions further emphasise that the list is showcasing the very best in commercial fiction, and have all been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English-language territories.

The fifteen-strong Boldwood team has been further strengthened by the arrival of a new Head of Production in April. Leila Mauger was a Senior Production Manager at Nosy Crow, where she helped to build a world-beating production team over seven years. Before that her experience included working at Bloomsbury, DK and Macmillan, and she is ‘excited to join a fast-growing, forward-thinking company that is on the move.’

In addition, Boldwood is establishing a partnership with Luke Speed, Founder & Managing Director of Speed Literary and Talent Management, to represent their film and TV rights around the world. Luke has recently set up his own agency as a JV with the YMU Group – having worked as the primary agent for Book & IP to film rights at the Curtis Brown Group for the last seven years, where he brokered film and tv adaptation deals for  bestselling authors including, amongst others, Bonnie Garmus, Lucy Foley, and Louise Candlish.
He says: ‘I’m thrilled to be working with Boldwood. I love the range of their material and their unabashed commercial sensibility, and I’m really looking forward to helping their fantastic list of authors to realise their film and tv ambitions.’

Amanda Ridout Founder and CEO comments: ‘After an award-winning month and having now passed the milestone of 14 million books sold around the world, we are delighted to be welcoming more brilliant authors to our family. With Leila’s arrival we will be ensuring that our robust production systems will be future-proofed as we expand the Boldwood list and title numbers. And having Luke as a partner to fully exploit our film and TV rights is a very exciting development.’
